Support told me to log out and log in 3x, and they haven’t responded since this morning. This is the end of the second day after buying assets and they never showed up in my download manager.
I have receipts from paypal and Unity both in my email from the purchase.
I contacted support, I started a thread in Unity support, what else can I do to either get a refund or get the assets I bought to be put in my download manager???
It’s complete crap that you can’t download your assets outside of the editor.
This is probably not the right place to be asking… not to mention you’ve started multiple threads in different forums about the same issue. While admins and other UT folks do frequent the forums… the forums are more community driven. Just stay in contact with support and keep following up via email… they are pretty slow at times (and I’ve had requests go completely unanswered as well). If it doesn’t get resolved… then I’d say go ahead and dispute the charges, but make sure you’ve notified support of your intent to do so and give them 48 hours to respond / rectify after notification before you actually do make the dispute.
There seem to be more active unity employees on the forums than on support, apparently…also I’m probably not the first person to have this happen so want to hear other’s thoughts on what they did or what you’d do. And it was 1 other thread, in “Unity support”, not “multiple threads in multiple forums”
I’ve been having issues with it lately as well. Not with purchases not showing up, but with the state change between an asset to download and an asset to import. After downloading (both at home and at the office with different versions of Unity) I need to close the Asset Store window and re-open it before I can import an asset. Clearly not as big an issue as you’re having, but since it’s on different versions of Unity (a 3.x and a 4.x) and both previously worked it did make me wonder what end of the system is having the issue.
I have that same issue as well. If I click download in the download manager, it downloads and the button just still says download rather than import. If I reboot Unity OR go directly to that asset’s page in the asset store, it will say import.
Joke aside, did you try to message Caitlyn? She is the Asset Store manager. But beware - she may never reply your message. I have message her before but I have NEVER receive a message back from her… http://forum.unity3d.com/members/3114-caitlyn
If that fails, try message Aurore. I usually get reply almost immediately from her. She probably has an internal line to Unity HQ so she can chase it up for you quicker. http://forum.unity3d.com/members/121876-Aurore
(Still doesn’t answer why for someone as busy as David he still manage to message me back every time but not Caitlyn. What’s your deal Caitlyn? Cat got your tongue? Huh?)
If you PM me the ticket numbers I’ll let you know what happened. There shouldn’t be any cases that go unanswered. Also, we quote a response time of up to 5 days, but obviously try very very hard to get responses to people with license or purchases problems within 24 hours.
