I think I got the basics of modeling down, so I decided to try out rigging and animation a little bit. I made a quick walking cycle, but I know that it looks pretty stiff, but I feel kinda happy that at least I made the thing moved =P
Any C&C and/or opinions are more than welcome, in fact, they are encouraged =D
@Fishman92: Awesome!! That means that at least I am heading on the right direction. Also, I tried to make it as close as human movement as possible. I had to film myself from different angles before I could get it right XD. Thanks for commenting =]
Very cool uchiha! I’d say you are off to a good start. Great idea about matching real human movement, the only thing I’d have to say is the arm movement is a bit strange. Unless you are trying to march, I think the arms would be more relaxed and swinging down at the side as opposed to the bent position they move in now.
@MrDuskling: yea, I dont really know how to control keyframes in here, except for delete/add. I think I’ll redo the whole thing. Btw thanx for commenting =]
@kj47: Awesome!! I’ll practice some more then. And lol you are right I think it is cuz of the back that is so straight. Hey I have one question, if I were to export this model to Unity, how can I use the animation? I tried to do it, but it does it at start, and also just does it once. Also, thanx for sharing your opinion, I really appreciate it =]
No problem! Unfortunately, I am at the same level you are. Just getting comfortable building and animating models. Everything that I’ve imported to unity thus far has been static and didn’t require animation. However, I’m really excited for this upcoming modeling series from cgcookie. It’s a pretty cheap investment if you don’t find the answers you are looking for here.
@Alec Ah, I apologize then. Is just that I wanted to show my animation so I could get some feedback on how to improve and such. Also, thanx for the suggestion, I’ll try adding more movement to the upper body =]
@David: thanks, I’ll keep working on it and probably add some hair =P Also thanks for the link, I was planning on posting it there, but I thought it was for like pros already, I am still a noob lol
