Walker Boys Studio?

Hello everyone! I was looking around for some good resources to learn Unity and c# and I came across walkerboystudio.com. They have about 50 hours of learning material and it looked great, but then I noticed that a lot of their videos are 5 to 6 years old. Does anyone know if these videos are still relevant or should I keep looking. Thanks!

Much of it is still relevant, and programming ability will certainly carry over. There are a few parts that aren’t as relevant anymore, though. They use the legacy particle system rather than Shuriken, and the immediate mode UI instead of the new persistent mode UI. I think their videos are quite good if you’re an absolute beginner with no programming ability, but you’ll have to learn about a few new Unity features elsewhere.

I would suggest that enjoying the style of a tutorial is just as important as the currency of its content in this case. If the videos are engaging enough to keep you interested and motivated to learn, then by all means use them, with the understanding that you’ll need to supplement the gaps in knowledge with more current material, which you can find in the official tutorials.

I seem to remember that they are not free at some point. You’d better begin the tutorials Unity Technologies provide us on this site:

This. Unless you have already exhausted the learn material, there is no need to go elsewhere.
