Free or cheap RPG “Starter” Package for indie game. Should include features as: level system, skills, quest, inventory and so on!

Sleglik has done an awesome job on his RPG Kit and well deserves the profits he gets from his kit. He’s probably logged hundreds of hours into what he has in this kit so far. In the past, I’ve paid programmers over $500 and they’ve done only a fraction of what Sleglik has done now (and they put way less time into it). Finding and paying programmers to do a RPG is expensive and of the many game engines I’ve used, Sleglik and ORK are two of the only ones to come up with anything decent to a good playable RPG game. It’s well worth the money, IE Games to support these people who are making these kits so they can continue to keep up the work they are doing. The more you support them, the more features they can add into these kits to make them even better.

+1 for sleglik’s RPG Starter Kit too. He is done a wonderful job and is very responsive to the customer (often within minutes of posting to the forum thread or emailing him). Its the main reason I go with his kit and also his dedication to it.

2 great products both with their strengths and then a free RPG tutorial set that takes you through creating your own RPG as well as teaching you some key programming concepts using C#.
I say support them all and btw you can support the RPG tutorails by purchasing the scripts for $10.
Sleglik’s RPG Kit is written in C# as is ORK. So going through the RPG Tutorials (which are C#) will help you in understanding or even adding to either kit.
