Hi there. I am totaly new to Unity. I need to know if it is possible, or how difficult is to create water moving against gravity (uside down) trough a pipe and then the water must fil a container. I want to achive Hydravlic simulations for simple pumps.
It is very important to my to know if this is possible because I want to start a Phd with this subject.
As far as I know, Unity has no physical representation of water whatsoever. You could use Unity for detecting collision against the pipe, but you’d essentially be doing everything from scratch.
I think you shouldn’t do it with a game engine, frankly. I mean if your aim is physically correct fluid simulation.
With that said, you can try this. But before you buy it, try to ask your questions on the forums here or on this Unity forums here .
There’s also nvidia flex, lots of things in there and I’m pretty sure fluid simulation too.
