Water Pro turns into Water Simple when building for Android

Anyone know why when I build for Android my Water Pro shader switches to simple shading? If i set target for windows and build it changes right back!

Using Unity Pro 4.0.1

Image comparison attached.

You’ll need the Android Pro add-on if you want to use Pro features there.

Wow really? So the 1500 I spent on Unity is only for the Pro features when used on PC???

That’s really upsetting, the Unity Pro product description is followed by icons labeled as “Supported Platforms” one of which is Android.

If Android is not supported by the Unity Pro license why is it listed there? What platforms are ACTUALLY supported?

PC, Linux, and Mac standalone, and web player.

Hover the mouse on the android icon, it will say “Android Basic.”

When you mouse over the icons you can see their specification of the support for each platform as basic or pro. $3000 for a full fledged game engine is still affordable as hell but still, that marketing is slightly misleading.

To make it more clear:
Android (Basic) is and always was supported by Unity Pro. It’s the equivalent to Unity Basic/Free. If you plan to use Unity’s Pro features on Android, you’ll need the Android Pro add-on in order to unlock the features there.
