Water simple with alpha transparent

Hi,
Is there someone who can help me to make a river in Unity Indie ?
What is the best way to texture a model in max 9 with an alpha jpg and a texture diffuse that can be exported in Unity indie and changed to “slot” alpha and “slot” shader (water simple, for exemple)?

materials won’t carry over
You must reassign the right shader in unity again.
For the use you intend for it thought you will likely have to write an own shader. Can’t remember seeing any shader that uses a tiling texture (needed for the water here) + a mesh scale alpha / grayscale falloff texture.
