web player doesn't launch

so If I open a new tab and go directly to a test site and click on one of my unity links, web player loads just fine

if I click on a link from facebook to the site.
and click on any of them. the page loads up fine, and I see a blank page

it doesn’t matter how long I wait

but if I right click a blank place and do “inspect element” it doesn’t have to be on the unity object, just anywhere. It pops up

IF i do inspect element before clicking the link, it loads up fine

If I use firefox, it works fine.
if from facebook, i right click link and do open in new window, it works
if from facebook, i right click link and do open in new tab, it doesn’t works
if It doesn’t load up for whatever reason, and i hit ‘refresh’ on the page, it still stays ‘unloading/broken’
I tried updating webplayer to make sure it was latest.
I tried hosting on dropbox, to see if it was my website. same issue.
I tried disabling all my extensions, still doesn’t work
I asked my friend on his chrome if he follows same link, it doesn’t work
I made another unity game with barely anything at all in it, it doesn’t work.

So I thought maybe its my unity deploy?
So I tried hyperlinking

(edit: Even clicking this from the unity3d forums, it doesn’t start the webplayer)(Did I break something? is chrome broken? Whats up with this?)
from facebook and in chrome
it doesn’t load, the same as mine.
I also tried setting up crossdomain xml, MIME support for .unity3d, secure disable(SSL?), streamin on/off, and a ton of other things with nothing changing it at all.

There is clearly an issue with Unity Webplayer, mixed with chrome, mixed with hyperlinking.
That is somehow remedied by just doing ‘inspect element’ ( I was doing this to see if i could find any error reports or anything)

Does anyone have the slightest idea what it is, or how to remotely fix it?

Hi,

We’ve been discussing this issue in another thread, you’ll find more information there about it as well:

Excellent Thank you! I thought I searched a bunch, but clearly not enough to find it!
