If I don’t have the unity3d file in the correct location or referenced incorrectly I’ll get an error on the screen. However, in my case I get no error at all. What I see is the Unity Web Player trying to load my game but just sitting there not actually loading. You can see the loading bar but nothing moving, even after about 10 minutes.
I’m just looking to do some simple testing with friends and family and want some kind of free hosting. I saw this was possible with google drive for a while but is no longer functioning. I saw the same with dropbox but now you have to pay to have public folders, looks like. I own a squarespace page and tried following a tutorial there as well but it seems even squarespace has outrgown it. So is there some quick and dirty way for me to host my prototypes online? And does anyone have any idea what might cause the web player to load, but not the game?
