WebGL build doesn't work on Unity 2020.37f on Ubuntu Linux

Above.

I successfully did most of the 2D platformer tutorial last night from the learn section on here, except for some reason, the last bit, build and publish on WebGL doesn’t work, even though I’ve downloaded and installed the WebGL module which originally wasn’t installed the first time I tried it.

Can anyone help?

See the attached pic.

Make with the helpful comments please.

It would be helpful if you could show the console with all the errors (and especially the first one). Or even better, the logs. It’s hard to help without detailed information about what went wrong.

I don’t know what is this Publish thing you’re using, but I can confirm that WebGL build works on Linux with Unity 2021.3 (didn’t try it with any other version). I use it all the time.

This is what happens when I click build and publish, it goes to the files app in Ubuntu, allegedly a supported OS, and just creates a load of folders.

Doesn’t actually save anything.

Help!

This is getting annoying! I loaded the project in Unity 2021.3.3f1, and got the above error, even though I actually have signed in.

Do something before I throw this fuck off Linux box in the bin!

  1. Stop spamming the forum.

  2. You will never get help on a forum if you can’t properly describe your problem.

  3. The error you’re showing are compile error. It has nothing to do with Linux. It means there is something wrong with your code. And the error actually tells you what is wrong with it and where the error is.

  4. You will never become a programmer if you can’t handle a situation where things don’t work and you have no idea why. Trust me, when you do code, this sort of things happen ALL THE TIME.

  1. I explain the problem every time, you just can’t read
  2. See 1
  3. I’ll try and re do the code
  4. I don’t have the patience to get this ass Linux box to work
