About a month ago the company I work for and I we publish a WebGL game named Lordz.io using Unity 2017.2 since then we had no issue.
But since Chrome’s last update (v 63.0.3239.84) we noticed some very weird graphical anomalies. Sprites switch constantly and where there is only one sprite renderer you can visually see more then one.
The game looked and worked fine with the previous version of Chrome.
We tried rebuilding with the lastest unity pacth but it didn’t change anything. Also the same build works fine with the latest versions of Firefox, Edge and Safari.
Unfortunatly Chrome is the most used browser for our game and its last update ruins completly the experience for the player.
Attached are screenshots of what the game is supposed to look like and the Chrome 63.0.3239.84 version.
If anyone encountered this issue please help, a huge percentage of our players uses Chrome
Same problem here since Chrome update v 63.0.3239.84. We see random glitches, only happening on that specific version of Chrome. It works fine on Firefox. I can’t share my client’s code to help find the issue, but at least you know it’s not just you
One of our players is having similar issues with our game on Chrome 63, but for them, none of the sprites are loading for the most part (the text still displays though). We were able to get them playing on Facebook Gameroom though, so at least they can still play for now.
To note, they were playing just fine for several days, but Tuesday they encountered this issue. Our project is in Unity 5.6 for this one.
