Webplayer building/publishing [SOLVED]

I built my game by clicking FileBuild settingsWeb PlayerBuild

I, then, copied the folder that I built my game in to my Dropbox folder (i.e. I uploaded both my HTML and my UNITY3D files in my Dropbox folder).

In the folder I just copied over (the one that is now in my Dropbox) I right-clicked on the generated HTML file and clicked on Share Dropbox link.

I gave the link to people, but nothing happens when they copy and paste the URL in their browser and give permission for the plugin to run…

I, then, tried to figure out how to enable my Public folder, but I discovered that currently only Pro and Dropbox for Business users can enable Public folders, so I would have to upgrade first.

I guess I would have to look for free web hosing as my only alternative. Correct? Or is there another way of doing this?

Thanks,

Hmmm last I checked you could share and load an html file using Dropbox… but I havent tried it in a while. Not sure if they changed that, but I’ve seen plenty of people using Dropbox to share a Webplayer Build.

One thing I noticed is you said your only clicking on the HTML file to share… that means the Unity file is not being shared… so try sharing the Folder first, which should then make both the HTML and Unity file Public and Accessible… then maybe try to share the HTML file directly after you share the Folder, or Share both of them somehow not just one file.

Here is a blog with nice tutorial explaining your question.
