It could be a bug but it will be difficult to track down from the information you’ve provided so far. Can you post a link to a webplayer that makes this problem happen?
I have an older mac G4 as a second computer and when I launch any Unity webplayer, it hangs the machine. Have to do a hard restart every time. This is true on all websites and all games I’ve tried from other developers. I do all my Unity work on a new PC for that reason. What Mac are you on?

Don’t see why you’d have problem on that. Have you tried another browser, like Firefox?
Have you done all updates to the OS and/or Safari?
Yes, the system is the latest.
