Webplayer in chrome v42+ using Patch 5.0.1p2

Patch 5.0.1p2 release notes state:

"

  • (none) - WebPlayer: Workarounds for new Chrome, where NPAPI is disabled by default "

But I don’t understand what that means. What is the workaround?

Is there a way to use the webplayer in chrome v42 and up?

Yes, I’d be interested in knowing what’re those workarounds. Mostly because I can’t manage to run my project again with patchs 5.0.1.p1 / 5.0.2.p2 in any browser (I’m already talking with support anyway).

What exactly is being worked around? Does it enable the chrome://flags/#enable-npapi flag on its own somehow?
