Webplayer start delay - Indy/free version only perhaps?

I’ve noticed that there seems to be quite a delay from when I run a webpage with the webplayer until the Unity webplayer actually shows my scene.

I’ve tried a simple empty project with nothing but a GUI.Text or a simple cube. It always takes a few seconds with the white background, before the scene shows.

Any reason/explanation? is this related to the free edition only or does PRO users experience the same delay?

I can complete understand if its license related matter, but why show the white screen for so long when the Unity logo pops so nicely in the corner afterwards? This only makes the player experience more annoying for the end-users + its delaying every test I do when publishing to test my code.

We include no artificial delay in projects created with the free version. Can you post a link that exhibits this behaviour?
