WebPlayer Unhandled Exception Crashes instantly the player on Safari, Mac

Hey there.

After updating from 5.0.4 to 5.1.2 now after some time of usage of the App it CRASHES without any good clue about what happened.

I got on the player.log this:

Before that, NO errors messages or other problems, the App is working fast and really stable, until crashes, haha.

Any word on this? I’m having a similar problem using 5.1.3. Consistent crashes (only with Safari) in web player. Here are a couple of logs:

Hello,

actually we have a product which runs on Unity web player, and besides the well known unsupported issue with Chrome, we are getting more and more troubles with other browsers such as Safari, IE, Firefox… are you also experiencing those issues? Does anybody know if Firefox or other browsers are going to follow Chrome on this policy of removing plugin support? because that’s becoming a major issue for our company.

Safari has the plugin already behind a “click-wall” the same way Chrome started there removal so draw your conclusions from that.
Edge has no plugin support either so the number of browsers fully supporting plugins is getting smaller.

I’ve uploaded a repro project with the bug number 728251.

It’s a 100% crash for us on multiple Macs.

Also, I just tested it with 5.2. It crashes there too.
The asset bundles I’m using were built with 5.1.3.
