So I am trying to animate a very basic vector character in the animation menu. But when i rotate the joint of the leg towards x and save the keyframe, in between the beginning point and rotated point, there is a weird y rotation until it goes to the point i wanted in the finishing key frame. What do i do? I am new to animations in unity. It seems some error with the curves.

It is hard to understand what exactly you are encountering. Could you provide screenshots or perhaps a video to help show the error you are encountering? There could be many things happening, so a visual would be very helpful.
