Not sure where this box came from, nothing is enabled in the UI as you can see in the picture not sure why it’s here

I think it’s just the edge of the canvas. If you disable gizmos it will be gone I think
Yes, that is the edge of your Canvas (which is enabled) and which is set to ScreenSpace-Overlay.
If you edit the RenderMode of your Canvas to be ScreenSpace-Camera instead and assign the camera to the proper slot you will see that the edge will disappear.
