Weird huge light spot reflected by terrain in Editor when targeted iOS

Hello all,

Basically I’ve updated my personal project to Unity 2021.2.0f1, and I’ve got an unexpected huge and bright light spot reflected by terrain.
I’ve set up a simple scene for this problem, in the following screenshot, there’s only several cubes, one terrain and a directional light.

To give you more information, I don’t have this problem when switching editor to Android, you can confirm it in the following screenshot. (I do notice that the terrain is slightly brighter when targeted iOS)

Following some more screenshots, hope these will help you understand more my problem,
1. The position of light spot will follow the editor camera

2. The position of light spot will also follow the rotation of the directional light

3. Its brightness is related with the strength of directional light

4. Clear baked lighting and regenerate has not effect
5. Problem persists after changing sky box and sun source to None
Environment
Operating system: macOS 12.0.1 (21A559) with Apple silicon
Unity version: 2021.2.0f1 (Apple silicon)
URP version: 12.1.0
Post-processing is disabled in Forward Renderer

Perhaps there’s just a new feature that I forgot to switch off, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Y Yang

Hi, I’m having the same issue, were you able to fix this one?

Just FYI one way to make it less obvious, is to add normal maps to all textures and make sure you have the glossiness down in the texture map.

Btw, this issue is present (at least for me) only on iOS

I have faced similer issue, it got fixed by changing setting in the "environment reflections → source → from skybox to custome
