weird outline around materials

I was following How to make 2D GLOW in Unity! - YouTube
tutorial and it seems to be working, but I always get this weird outline when I use the material from the shader. When I use another material, like sprites-default nothing weird happens. This is my first time using shaders so I likely forgot to do something simple. Ill attach some screenshots below.
