Weird Shading on simple models

Whats up guys I’m getting some strange lighting results, and it’s really distracting.

I attached a few images showing the models in Max, and then way they’re being drawn in Unity.

For the most part it doesn’t look like Unity is respecting Max’s smoothing groups (in addition to the strange lighting artifacts).

Is there a simple fix for this issue (nothign special about my models, Editable Polys with Unwrap UVW…

In the Import Settings there is an option for “Calculate Normals”… turn that off and it will respect the edge smoothing from Max.
