So i finally get down to building my level and i noticed weird darkened artifacts on some of my models. At first i thought it was textures or something in blender but now im not so sure. If i use any other shader that doesnt have bumped diffuse, it goes away. It only occurs when i use bumped diffuse. Even with a normal map assigned it doesnt work. Even using a custom lightmap using the legacy shaders doesnt work…
I dont know whats causing it for sure but i think its Unity and its lighting system maybe? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ive been messing with textures and refining UVs all day trying to figure out whats causing it…
Yes… the bird like shadow is the thing i get when i use the bumped diffuse shader depending on how im looking at it, it occurs in all models regardless of textures
In the case that you baked lightmaps, did you clear them correctly? Do you have a light which produces shadows? If so, disable it and see if the the bird is still there.
Im not using lightmaps with them, im just using bumped diffuse with a normal map and the textures. It doesnt matter what light is on or off it will show so long as bumped diffuse is the shader for it. If i redo a uv map, the spot will change but there is always a black artifact like that if i used bumped diffuse.
