With the default canvas scaler settings shown below, everything in the UI scales down to a tiny size when entering the animation tabs, which makes it impossible to accurately animate the GUI. I used ‘scale with screen size’ in my previous projects and this never happened so I’m assuming it’s either a new feature or a bug.

Steps to reproduce:
Create a new project (I’m currently using 2020).
Add a canvas with some objects to it.
Set canvas scaler to ‘scale with screen size’
Now open the animator/animation tabs. Sometimes it doesn’t happen immediately, but if you go to resize the tab it will happen.
