Welcome to the new Player Engagement forum! You can use this forum to ask for help, share feedback, and have discussions about Unity’s player engagement solution.
Player Engagement covers both Game Overrides and Push Notifications but please note that Push Notifications is currently in Beta.
Getting Started
Game Overrides requires an active Remote Config or Cloud Content Delivery (CCD) integration to get started. You can find these in the “Live Ops” section of the dashboard, above Player Engagement.
Once you have set up a Remote Config key or CCD badge you can use Game Overrides to:
- Schedule changes with a start and end date
- Choose which players are eligible using Audiences or JEXL targeting
- A/B test changes and view reports (requires Analytics)
- Progressively roll changes out to players
Take a look at these use cases to learn more about how you can use Game Overrides
Push Notifications can be used to engage your players outside of the game. They can be used to inform players about an upcoming game event or to give players a nudge to return to your game if they haven’t played for a while. See the Push Notifications Beta section below for more information on joining the Beta.
