Pretty nice. What I would like to also see is that once you have a search result, be able to narrow it down by type, like models or scripts or whatever… especially if you did an organic search result you get all kinds of stuff, would be nice to e.g. see only the shaders or only the extensions.

The new features are really slick. I especially like the notifications as well. I was like, “What is this mail icon and why do I have a message?” and it was a notification of an update for an asset that I own.

They need genres too - e.g. something like 3D models: Characters will get you about 75% Zombies & monsters, 20% Chibi, and 5% a mix of everything else.

That’s really awesome! Just this weekend I had a client with an issue because he was using an older version. Where did you get that notification?

Yeah I just saw that too, it’s the envelope icon next to your username (top right).
Hmm yeah, although that does mean you gotta go into the shaders category first then add filtering, you can’t do it from a global search.

How does Unity Technologies work exactly? Once Unite starts all 500+ employees drop everything they do and leave? They have NO spare employees to, like DO things?
From what I understand the Asset Store team is quite small and I would assume that a few from that division would be present at their company’s annual event.
Aurore or Sara usually make those community announcement posts anyway, and their both at Unite.

I would assume so. Unite is a big event. Anybody who is anybody on the community management team will have been putting in long hours getting ready, and be at the event. Plus the event is often tied as a release date for new features or demos. So the development team will be hard at work too.
The official announcement would have been at the Unite keynote. The blog post will come next week. It’s how Unity rolls.
This is actually pretty darn cool. Really like the notifications.
