1: I spend so much time refreshing services screen
I’m sure many devs know that getting your project to link with unity ads is a pain in the ass but what baffles me is once you do actually get it working the next day your unity project no longer links with unity ads??? but why. do i really need to keep refreshing again and again? must relink the same project again and again?
2: When adding a project to unity ads (on the website dashboard) it took so long to show up that i thought it didnt go through so i added it again without white spaces. after a while it shows both. so ok that sucks right so let me delete one… hmm nope I cant delete… oh wait i can archive it in another section but that doesnt matter because i can still see both in this section… again why be so annoying?
Thanks for your feedback, and I do understand your slight frustration of using Unity Ads and our other Unity services, as there are some known inconsistencies across our services, given the different background of the services.
Regarding UX, we unfortunately still have some remaining work from integrating different companies and products, and give the user a consistent user experience across all services. We have a people working on this across services, however I cannot give any estimates on when it will be completed.
Regarding the timeout you are experiencing/combined with need to relink your project, this ofc shouldn’t happen. Are you on a slow/unreliable connection? And also, if you are experiencing it again (unless you’ve completely given up on using Unity services…), please report at bug using “Help->Report a bug…” menu item, which will include the Editor.log, so we might be able to see what has happened. I do experience problems loading the Services window in Unity editor on bad connections (given it’s hosted online), however haven’t seen that projects becomes unlinked.
Ok, anyways, thanks for your feedback. I hope we can prove you wrong and actually deliver great services, which can help game developers focus on their games, and not infrastructure etc.
I’ll see if I can reproduce your mentioned issues.
@TechDeveloper , I actually did experience a problem with Services window in Unity today (although as severe as you describe), when I was using a specific VPN tunnel. Did you use VPN or similar while experiencing the issues?
sorry for the delay.
I’ve returned back to my UK office and for the last few weeks it’s been fine with no problems at all.
The connection I was having problems with was being used by someone that had a vpn connection to another location.
So yes I think maybe you’re right it might have something to do with that.
I must edit some previous msg’s now ooopsy…
