What are autodesk shaders used for in URP?

There are Autodesk shaders in Unity.
As far as I know, they are not useable in URP.
If a perfab use these shaders, then Unity will compile them when you run the scene, even if the scene does not contain those prefabs.
Compilation times of Autodesk shaders is astronomical.

What are my choices? Just look at all my assets and change any asset that use Autodesk shader?

Thanks,

It was never properly explained. Seems that it had something to do with interoperability and general “improvements” with the Maya/Unity software workflow.

Apparently they were introduced at some point in 2017.

As you can see here, some people working with Autodesk had issues when exporting their models to Unity, since their work look quite different once it was imported into the editor. That may be the reason why they were created.

They were considered for deprecation, btw, since not a lot of people were using them.
