What are the best practices for creating pixel art UI elements that go with pixel perfect camera?

Hi all.

I’m having slight trouble figuring out the best way to go about creating pixel art UI elements to go with the pixel perfect camera.

the problem seems to be when I set the canvas mode to screen space camera, the art itself jitters and shakes, but stays in the right place.

When I set the canvas mode to screen space overlay, the art moves around between places, even with anchoring. To explain: It appears in the right place when I don’t maximize on play and have my pixel perfect camera set to certain resolution, with crop x and y. However, when I let it grow to 2x size (which happens when I hit maximize on play) it is in the wrong spot.

I was wondering if the canvas counts the black box around the game that’s cropped as part of the UI?

I guess I’d mostly like to know the best way to make the pixel art look good and stay in the same space…

Thank you for reading and especially if you are able to help.

I’m still looking for advice on this, if anyone has any.
