Hi all,
I am working on, mobile platform, tower defense game with leaderboard.
I decided to use Playfab to keep player data and leaderboard statistics also I have an option to use it for in-app purchases.
However, I am not sure the free plan can provide me enough data traffic.
And I don’t want my player gone from the first day because of the laggy buttons and data loses etc.
What do you think?

It sounds like you are best-positioned of all of us to know exactly how this might impact your desired game dynamics.
In fact by the number of people responding here, you might be the only person who has used PlayFab recently, making you almost certainly the best guy to answer your questions.
To answer your questions, I suggest you set up some experiments.
What does that mean?
Why the others not using PlayFab?
What is the alternative?
Why do people choose it?
I think you should be fine with Playfab. IMO it is by far the best live services / game tailored cloud platform out there.
Did you check the pricing? It is VERY generous for a free plan.
As of this post, you get 100k player limit. You don’t get charged for individual read/write limits until you are over 100k players. (Except for multiplayer, party, and voice servers, those you pay for even in free tier).
After 100k players, you can update to $99 and pay as you go. The costs are pretty low even with pay as you go. For example $0.33 per 1 million reads of your leaderboard.
If you have 100k player and cannot pay for the playfab costs then you may need to rethink your games monetization.
thanks
