I know that only the pro version plays videos, but I want to know what kinds of videos the engine accepts and if is just drag it to the folder, like mp3s used in Unity.

mp3s aren’t supported by unity (beside unity iphone where the iphone will play the mp3 but not unity), only ogg
as for video: on osx is quicktime only, on windows I think quicktime too but especially wmv. but neither is actually supported for playback, all videos are converted to ogg theora
