I made this today, its a skateboard ramp, textured and modeled after a ramp we have in my local skatepark.
If i made a pack with various different skateboard ramps (7Kinds) like this one, how much could i charge for it on the asset store?
Im very curious.
As much as you want.
Well i know that, the question was more how much you Think Would be a fair Price.
Free.
Honestly it’s not particularly exciting… maybe you could get $5 for a pack.
You should research this yourself by going to the Asset Store and checking to see how much other people are charging for similar models?
Judging from my quick 30 second look through it looks like the majority of these types of models are between free to $5
You could sell it for whatever you want, but i am not sure anyone would buy it.
Not to mention it wouldn’t be a huge time saver or reusable.
Unless you’re not a modeler and don’t have one on your team?
Yeah but for the image OP posted, I’m pretty sure you can browse opengameart.org, blendswap, or Google warehouse, or something to get something similar.
i never sold on the AssetStore but if you can set any price for this i would say between 2-5 dollars
if you can add more textures to it then maybe a better price can be set
good luck
Or build it yourself easily from any number of cheap or free tools, or even some available on the Asset Store. If I wanted that I’d open ProBuilder and whip it up in probably less time than it’d take to search for and download one.
To be honest, the “I made this today” is a hint that the value isn’t very high. To be valuable it needs to save time or be something that is otherwise hard to make or difficult to come by. That isn’t to say that it isn’t worth selling, just that I agree the price probably wouldn’t be more than a few dollars.
Having said that, if there’s a lack of skating related assets on the store that’s a niche you could fill, and a decent number of assets even at a low price point could be a good start if you want to get a thing going.
$5 for what you said, what might be interesting to do is focus on something a bit larger scale. create a good 30-50 variation parts which are modular, create decals and several skins that can be switched in and out. If you’re into the other side of things you could even put together a park editor that allows users to build modular parks easily and then do whatever with them from there.
Even if you do all that its not a large amount of work to execute, creating any kind of variation is always quick and easy but people like lots of variation and would prefer to buy a pack of 50 different ramps and rails for $30-$50 then create them all themselves.
Hej, i probably Got a little bit to excited but i will World some more on the model and textures thanks you for the answers!
if you compare to other free assets this would be a fair price.
