I was studying unity and now I’m reading about game design and level design and soon I’ll start to make my first game. Now I’m studying the things I’ll need. It’ll be a 2D game and soon I want to start contacting illustrators, but this is the first time I will do that and I don’t want to look as a complete noob (as I really am lol). I want to make this comunication easier. So I have some questions.
What are the things that I need to specify?
What are the things that I need to already know or do to make things easy?
As the game will be based on sprite, the illustrator has to be specialized in it? Or this doesn’t even exist?
Does the illustrator needs to have knowledge about unity and the tool for 2D that I will use?
There is a commercial section and collaboration section here. You will find people there.
Be as detailed as possible is my best advice on what to ask.
They will probably have whatever program they’re proficient in and use that and transfer to Unity blah blah blah…someone will come along and break this down to the nth degree but that’s the basics.
If you’re looking on this forum then the person will most likely know what they’re doing. If you go outside of this forum then you will probably need to specify it’s for Unity and all that
