What do you look for when shopping for music assets?

Hi developers! I make music/audio assets on the asset store, and I have a question for you all.

When shopping around for music assets, what do you look for?

I’m curious about both how you search and what’s most useful for you.
Any comments are welcome

Thank you!

I personally haven’t bought a lot of music from the store…when I have it has been in packs, and of the sci-fi genre unless it is general pack with several genres.

I’m not sure how successful music sells on the store. The catch is that most are going to want their own music, whether they pay for it, have it made, or make it themselves. Music is probably the one asset more than any others that is harder to “make your own.” With models and textures/materials, you can generally modify them to your needs easily enough, and the same can be said for even sound effects…but with music that is much harder.

As far as the best way to sell music, I think you are best off doing either small packs of specific genres, or big packs of multiple genres, but I wouldn’t try selling packs of just a few. The main way I think you could be successful selling music would be in packs that offer really good value. This is just my opinion however, so hopefully others will offer feedback from a better perspective.
