What does checking Post Processing do by default on a Camera?

Quick question - I have set up no post processing in my project but see a noticeable difference in my screen with post processing on and off. I have a bunch of billboarded quads with a grass texture on them here:

Post processing off:

Post processing on:

So I want the effect seen in post-processing on, but I’m really confused why this “fixes” the sprites outlines. What’s going on here?
