What games do you guys look for ( casual )

What casual indie games do you guys like to play? tower defense? Puzzle? Platformer?

just want to get the communitys input.

Tower defence type games. I’m currently making a sort of Tower Defence.

Simulation i’d have to say.

I like any game that challenges me. I like puzzle games a lot, as long as they have some sort of story.

i have always liked platformers…

Do you guys think that there is still a market for tower defense games on mobile devices?

EDIT: And also what do you guys look for in tower defence ( addiction, visuals, humor )

I am a platformer kind of guy. Top down shooters? I’d say there is a market for everything. For me, awesome visuals make me interested in a top down shooter.

Sorry, I meant tower defense :L

And what kind of platformers do you look for? puzzle? action?

It’s all good. for tower defense? I’d say art is equally as important in both top downs shooters and tower defense. I’m not a huge tower defense player. Or strategy in general. But I loved Kingdom Rush from Ironhide studios because the visuals were just simple but so awesome.

For platformers. I’m really looking for a good mix between action and puzzle. I think the game Trine that was in the latest humble bundle does a really good job with not only mixing the puzzle and action, but also has a great story.

Alright cool, thanks for the input.

What about adventure games? Kinda zelda like but not completely. What do you look for in those games?

That one’s easy. Story.

Cool. Taken into consideration.

Well I like the a variety of games. Mostly RPGs,action, and beat 'em up games. For some reason you dont see much beat em ups anymore. For example like Double Dragons, Streets of Rage, of Final Fight.

I don’t play casual games…at ALL.

Are we talking browser games?
I’m not into platformers and most puzzles (except there’s innovation), and would prefer tycoon-style games, tower defense or these “shoot a ball/penguin/turtle to see how far it gets” games, as long as there are huge amounts of upgrades. Time shredder they should be called.
