What happened to ARFoundation remoting?

Hi I was wondering what happened to the plans for an AR remoting tool for AR Foundation?
Already in 2008 it was said to be in preview but I can’t find it anywhere?

This is only my speculations, but it seems like Unity decided to put all their efforts into MARS. Mars is expected to have the remote companion app in the future. I think this remote app will be only accessible in a paid MARS subscription.

yeah… pretty sad. And this means that we also can’t rely on Unity’s roadmaps any longer.
I’m an ARKit dev and fan from the very first our (ARKit beta in 2017). But I feel Unity is starting to make the wrong choices by focussing so much on making money on AR.
Unity is definitely not democratizing mobile AR development. And I certainly hope that another actor comes around soon that provides everything that is missing with Unity’s AR approach these days.

If you look at Apple’s approach with RealityComposer you can see what Unity is doing wrong. An 0-iteration workflow is the core of their setup. It lacks in all other functionality, but they are catching up.

And what is the status of this when it comes to Unreal Engine? It seems that they have a remote?
