I started a new project in unity 2019.3 and can’t find ProGrids in package manager and not much info about it online
Found it. I had to enable preview packages under Advanced in the package manager
Thank you for posting! This was yet another real aggravation for a new user to stumble into.
Kind of ridiculous… they say it’s “native in 2019.3” and give absolutely zero clue in their Unity Manual entry for ProGrids installation. Why is this new “native” grid tool not… well… NATIVE
Having a functional grid is pretty foundational I would think.
For reals…
For reals! I was literally looking everywhere within the software trying to find it. The tutorial I was following, was getting it from the assets store, but he even said in the future it’ll probably be moved to the package manager. Only for it to be “HIDDEN” LMAO!! Thanks the the heads up @EthanFischer ! Without this/your discovery, we would all be lost!!
Finally found it! what an unnecessary aggravation.
where is progrids? there is no at assetstore.
It’s in the package manager
Hey there,
You can check out how to enable the preview here on this docs page: Unity - Manual: Package Manager window
The answer is click advanced and show preview and you got it

WoW, i have the problem right now cuz im new. Thanks!
Hey, I have preview packages enabled and it still doesn’t show up in 2021.1.3f1; only ProBuilder and Polybrush are available from the original ProCore toolset. I assume it has been removed?

This might work, if it doesn’t, it might’ve been removed. Although, I don’t really know if it was or not.
When the popup shows, type com.unity.progrids
in the name field and hit enter.
Thanks. I’ve been struggling since yesterday.
So, If I don’t find any packages in unity package manager, I can just type these com. stuff and get the packages? And how can I find all packages com. stuff
I’d take a look at our documentation to find out how to do the things you’re asking
This link may help.
Unity - Manual: Preview packages (unity3d.com)
Generally I like how everything is turning in to packages and to make easier to keep control of versions, at the same time Its kind of inconvenient not to offer a list of “unity made” packages available. It looks that now we have to memorize all the package manager names we normally use.
