Hi,
I developed an app on windows so I can’t export it. That’s why a friend of mine will come to me tomorrow and I really have no idea what happens after I exported my app.
- How do I get it on an iPod / iPhone
- Will I need to pay the 99$ even if I only want to test my app?
- Will I have to upload the app for testing the app?
- How do I upload the app into the app store and how long will it take until the apple community allows my app?
- Must the app be perfect for being allowed?
- Must the app always be reviewed by the apple community also only when having a little changing?
Please help me I really have to get an answer…
Hi,
To upload your app on the appstore, you will most certainly need an apple developer ID.
This requires some time to process, but you will need it to release something on the appstore.
There are other ways to test your app on a iPod/iPhone, for that you should take a look at this: testflightapp.com
As far as how long it takes for the apple community to allow your app, it will take some time depending on how big your project is.
The average time for an app to be approved should be around 2 weeks, but I’ve also waited
much longer, depending on the kind of app.
When you upload a new binary (update), the new version will need to get reviewed again.
“Must the app be perfect for being allowed?”…
Well pretty much, just make sure you’re not using too much memory, while ensuring a stable and NON-crashing app.
Apple is very picky on the quality of your application, so don’t upload some crappy stuff.
Good luck
