What Is Best, Use Rigidbody Or Making My Own Physics?

Hey, i have this doubt for sometime, has any gain in performance between use the physics of the rigidbody(set speed, force) or making my own physics with translate and variables ?

Not sure if anyone can write a physics engine that is faster than PhysX, which has been developed for over 10 years.
That said, if you have a very specific usecase you could probably make a faster physics simulation for that specific case.

The fact that you to ask this question leads me to believe that you are better of using the built-in physics engine.

Yeah. The benefits of writing your own physics is that you have complete control over it, and can make your objects behave exactly as you want them to. It’s not about performance (in most cases).
