There have been lots of people who have been stateing that some projects are unoriginal, so I just wanted to know what you think orginality is?
I believe it is doing somwthing unqiue and differeant from what has been done before.
Originality is taking a concept, be it new or old, and expanding upon it in a meaningful way.

To make my prediction, this will be filled with “Nothing is original! Everything derives from something!” “No! Something doesn’t have to be unique to be original!” “As long as you don’t outright copy something, then your work is original!” “Angry Birds was a rip off!” “Minecraft was a ripoff!”
My personal opinion? Who cares. Borrow and rearrange ideas. Make a great game.

Yeah, most games have ideas which have been taken from previous creations. Although, if you think about it. Stepping out of the box and looking at what has been made, you will most likely see that the market is slowly closing, as more games are made. “Original”, ideas are used. Making it harder for people to come up with different ideas. Most people hold the view that unique games are most likely going to make a bigger splash in the world, rather than the others.

I agree, but most people are wrong. Its the familiar rehashes that gain the most attention and renown.
