What is the best data base O/R mapper in Unity

I know O/R mapper NHibernate.
But it use XML, App.config.
I dont’t find Where must I put it.
And it also use *.hbm.xml files.

So, I find other O/R mapper (free).
Do you know?

If you know how to NHibernate work, would you tell me must I put XML files?
