what is the cheap tools/alternative vr headset/n controllers for pc?

I tried searching on google, but everything is way too expensive, there must be an easier way to use without paying all that movie, isn’t there a makeshift, home made controllers i could make?.

I’ve been thinking for a while about it, I don’t know who to ask and how to find something, also I don’t need this for phone, just for pc.

The cheap (and very good) alternative is Oculus Quest. You can use it with the PC via Oculus Link, or just use it on its own.
