What is the lerp's t parameter for?

Hi. I’ve looked it up and read many descriptions of lerp, and I’ve used it before, but I can’t figure out what the t parameter is, can someone tell me what it does?

Lerp basically blends between two values, and t is the blend factor. The closer the t is to 0, the closer the output is to A, and the closer the t is to 1, the output is to B.

Actually, let me google that for you:

You could just write it as

float lerp = inputA * (1 - t) + inputB * t;

With the addition that Unity’s Lerp method clamps the t to <0;1> range as well.
There’s no magic to it.
