What is the purpose of the "Unity" namespace?

Until the 2017.x Unity version, there were usually two namespaces: UnityEngine and UnityEditor. Then the version 2018 brought a new namespace: “Unity”, and one thing I always wanted to know is what is the purpose of this namespace. Threading? Package-dependencies-work-arounds? All? None? :roll_eyes:

A namespace is just a way to better organize your solution. For example it makes it possible to use the same class name as long as its in a different namespace. Read more.
