What is the state of rendering multiple worlds at the same time?

I tried this like 10 Months ago and it did not work (as expected!), but it was said that this will maybe be added to the hybridrenderer.

Is this now confirmed (or disputed) ?

Thanks

Rendering from multiple worlds are sadly not currently supported. There are some things that need to be reworked for it to be supported, and we have a task in our backlog to implement it.

Yes, i know that this is not supported, i just wanted to know if it gets realistically implemented or not.

The backlog at my company is a trashcan. Is it similiar in your team? :stuck_out_tongue:

Right, well it’s all a matter of prioritization I guess. We have some big improvements landing soon and after that we can start getting through smaller task I hope.

Or team is not that old so I don’t think our backlog has entered trashcan status just yet…

Is there an update to this? Still backlog @joelv ?

Thanks for your answer :slight_smile:

Yeah, still on the back log. It won’t happen even for the 1.0 release I think. Just too much to do =)

So probl. around 2023 when i could expect this feature earliest? (no hate)

Sadly yeah. There are a lot of more urgent tasks on our table (mobile performance, OpenGL ES 3.1 and as much feature parity with game objects rendering for example). Currently those have priority.

The yearly post for this! @joelv

What is the current state on this? :slight_smile:

As far as I know there has been no progress on multi world rendering.

@JussiKnuuttila might have more information

As far as I know, multi world rendering is not supported in Entities 1.0.

Hi, another year, another question :slight_smile: What is the state on this topic? @joelv @JussiKnuuttila
