What is the Unity Logo

I say its a box but my friend says its a shield what do you think?

It’s quite obviously a box in 3D space…

It’s obviously a cage. A cage in the void from which Unity staff can never escape, their screams nulled by the void.

Back in the day the Unity 0.9beta installer was shipped on a DVD. Unity used a courier company called DPD to ship them, and somehow the company logos got mixed up.

(It’s a box.)

Ive always imagined it as a mix of a 3D cube and a X, Y, Z gizmo.

It is a trade secret. All unity employees have it tattooed on them. To know what it means is to know all.

It’s three arrows pointing away from a center point. (You’ll never be able to unsee this)

But yeah it’s basically a box.

@Graham-Dunnett Thats funny, I see DPD vans go past all the time and always think “hey, that looks so much like the Unity logo!”.

You have rumbled us all! :open_mouth:

It’s a ninja throwing star captured mid-flight.

It’s the companion cube.

Exactly! I didn’t notice this until I tried recreating a high-res version of the logo myself (back before you could just download it).

I always took the logo to represent both the 3D aspect of the engine (the box shape) while simultaneously symbolizing its versatility with platform deployment (the multiple arrows). It also just kind of conveys a subtle message along the lines of “Go! Go make awesomeness!”

Illuminati symbolism.

It’s my friend
