What is with all the spam bots posting to the forums?

I frequently see these posts which are complete junk posts… usually with a title and several paragraphs like:

المركز الرئيسى لصيانة تكييفات يونيون اير المعتمد بالضمان الشامل للجهاز بالكامل خدمة فورية عالمية بقطع غيار اصلية
وكيل تكييفات يونيون اير صيانة جميع الاجهزة المنزلية
01283377353
01060037840 // 01112124913
01060037840 // 01112124913
01112124913 // 0235710008

And I see a random generated username like “iooo858”.

Typically google translate pops up in chrome, and if I translate, I get something like:

Franchise Frigidaire 01112225250 to 01,068,982,008 Franchise Frigidaire Frigidaire Heliopolis
, Nasr City Franchise Frigidaire Frigidaire in Zamalek power of attorney, power of attorney in the Frigidaire Frigidaire Shehab Street power of attorney in the Roxy

Which is obviously jibberish…

So I wonder why these people commission these spam bots to send out all these spam threads to the forums - and what would they want to do that for? Is it all just to overload the forums server with repeated junk requests for new threads? Is it just somebody doing some strange revenge on the forum/UT? I really don’t understand it because there are never any spam links taking you to a suspicious site… what is the point in it all then? The can’t be making money off it so they are spending resources and time for… what?

Its a self aware AI that Puya 3D set loose on these forums for revenge.

Haha yeah must be what it is then.

It’s DayZ fans.

They are upset that Rust which was created using Unity3d engine is so superior to DayZ’s which is using BIS’ horribly dated Arma Engine…

Lmao - I might be able to agree with that, if only rust was more optimized. Makes my old rig get to egg-cooking temps in no time.

EDIT: I see our pal “srseaegftd” has brought an important subject to our forums:

There was another recent thread about the exact same spam. We were told it’s going to be resolved when the forums are switched to new forum software, and to keep all spam related discussion in this thread.
