What kind of game do you want to create?

Hello readers I wanted to ask what kind of game did you always want to create?
and what kind of games are you in to.

RPG, FPS, TPS.

What kind of games are you in to…

Also check out my game
And tell me what you think.

Personally I’m into vast open world sort of games with tonnes of content and things to do. I just like that sort of epic scope.

That’s the games I like to where you can change the
story line at any time…

I love making 2d plat formers, fps, rts, and rpg open world. I love rpgs and open world games

Good games.

I’d like an old-school turn-based fantasy strategy, with an emphasis on army gathering and tactical fights. Kind of like the old King’s Bounty.

Giant mechs shooting each other with railguns…

One that makes it onto steam.

Hard-core full loot first-person MMO with real combat.

Steampunk+Monkeys+Rocket Launchers. Haven’t worked out the rest yet… maybe time travel as well, but not sure about that one.

Game + Steam = $$$$$$$$$$$

Open world sandbox type game where it’s up to you how you want to play the game networked over a server with a few dozen people at most.

Darkfall, Mortal Online maybe

An open world rpg like Gothic is what I always wanted to create. That will probably never happen
I focus on small games instead. Even though I’m learning to implement some typical rpg mechanics right now.

I will just throw in a “+1” here.

I like systems, simulations, procedural content, atmosphere and human interactions. So something which combines those five elements. Predefined stories are a big no no. And yes Steam would be nice.

Another idea: a spaceship game where two automated, AI-controlled replenishing huge fleets fight, MOBA style. The player is NOT a fighter ship, but a supporter, trying to help his team with non-combat actions (scavenging materials, transporting goods, mining, scouting…), all that while avoiding or dodging the enemy.

This is a really cool idea. Sort of a Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead sort of thing.

Apart from my current project, several ideas that are way out of my league until I have more experience and some fellow developers on my non-existant team. Still have hopes for my Privateer/Crimson Skies mashup and a kind of XCOM clone in the Mass Effect universe (legal issues aside of course).

Also, ideas got thrown around of a Lemmings/Blade Runner mashup where you had to guide a couple of mindless androids to the exit while keeping them safe from the anti-robot riot groups. Androids could be assigned different tasks via punch cards you had to collect, and sometimes a card’s order could burn into the android’s brain so he wouldn’t accept any other commands after that.

I love the Ideas you are giving I really do.
Would you mind if I where to create these in my game?
