Basically the kind of game I want to make is a crafting, adventurey-management 3D game. A casual game the player can take at their own pace.
I want to make a game where the character begins from scratch with their own shack kind of house. I’d like it to be explorable towns etc, but I need to figure out how to do a collecting system, maybe mining, inventory, and upgrades to make their own way weapons/armour.
I would like implant a time / day night cycle with certain enemies at night too.
Would it be too complex?
I’m a beginner–but I have been making up coding in my head for it but I’m not sure. I’m away from my pc at the moment so I’m just thinking how it would go.
Something basic like “if “item a” amount is in inventory” then “activate craft (a+b=c) = success.” etc
Obviously it wouldn’t be that way but I’m trying to find tutorials and I’m not sure what direction to go in. I don’t know what kind of game that’s considered though.
