I’m getting this warning in the editor sometimes but i have no idea what causes this. Is it important?
These are generally harmless and can be ignored. If you happen to have a project that generates these messages consistently, then the development team would be happy for you to send it in to find out what the problem is.
I just started getting these as well in version 1.7 of Unity iPhone. Here’s how it happens to me:
- run my project with the ‘run button’ in editor.
- I get the message in the console, followed by the apple beachball.
- takes about a minute, editor is useable again but won’t run my project properly. All tilt functions die. I’m forced to save the work and restart Unity iPhone.
Unity Remote doesn’t work for very long. Unless you turn off Bluetooth, you’ll probably see this immediately after trying to use it.
…And, I see you’ve seen this other thread:

So yeah, not good stuff. It was suggested to use “iPhone Wide” there, but that won’t work for me, really. I’m not too fond of landscape mode because of the positioning of the headphone jack and power supply. I don’t find it practical for most games.
exactly the same happens here.
This problem with Unity Remote seems to have been nailed now and the fix will be available in the next version.
Awesome!
I actually found the fix independently yesterday. I moved to a new place this week, and I have a basement again, which I did not, previously. Upstairs, I see a ton of available wireless networks, but in the basement, where I have my workspace, I only see a couple, at low strength. Unity Remote works wonderfully there.
So obviously, fat concrete walls are the solution. Will these, along with the associated installation costs, be included free for all licensees of Unity iPhone, then?
Is it possible to get a hotfix earlier than the next version? I have this problem at least 3 or 4 times a day since version 1.7.
Peter.
Also the same problem need a fix asap.
Unity will sometimes release advance version on a case-by-case basis. You should contact support@unity3d.com about this.
Yes, but the earthed conducting layer in the concrete will be an optional paid upgrade.
The problem only happens if I use my iPhone 3Gs as remote. I don’t have it with my 3G.
Peter.
I’m getting this on my iPod touch at lease 3-5 times a day. We really need an update fast.
Yeah same problem here with unity remote and ipod touch. Have to continually shut down unity.
Haven’t seen the message once, with any beta version of Unity 3. It’s been 100% reliable for me.
